Hitachi announced its results for the year ended March 31, 2024. Revenue for the fiscal year was 9,728.7 billion yen (about $62.5 billion), compared with 10,881.1 billion yen in the previous year. For the full year, adjusted operating profit was 755.8 billion yen, compared with 748.1 billion yen in the previous year. Net profit attributable to the company’s shareholders for the full year was 589.8 billion yen, compared with 649.1 billion yen in the previous year. Among them, the revenue of digital systems and services was 2,598.7 billion yen, the revenue of green energy and transportation was 3,052.3 billion yen, the revenue of connected industries was 3,058 billion yen, and the revenue of automotive systems was 1,164.4 billion yen.
IC086SLM082 German industrial conglomerate Siemens has announced results for its second fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2024. Quarterly revenue was 19.162 billion euros ($20.8 billion), compared with 19.416 billion euros a year earlier. Quarterly net profit was €2.196 billion, compared with €3.551 billion a year ago. Among them, the Digital Industries Group generated revenues of 4.505 billion euros, the Intelligent Infrastructure Group generated revenues of 5.149 billion euros, Siemens Transportation generated revenues of 2.822 billion euros, and Siemens Healthcare generated revenues of 5.435 billion euros.
Schneider Electric announces first quarter 2024 results. Quarterly group revenue was 8.606 billion euros (approximately $9.35 billion), up 1.3% year-on-year. Among them, the energy management business revenue of 6.859 billion euros, an increase of 5.8%. Industrial automation revenue was 1.747 billion euros, down 13 percent year on year.
Siemens Energy today announced results for its fiscal second quarter ended March 31, 2024. Quarterly revenue was €8.278 billion (approximately $8.99 billion), up 3.7% from €8.028 billion in the same quarter last year. Quarterly net profit was 108 million euros, compared with a net loss of 189 million euros a year earlier.
Industrial giant ABB Group has announced its first quarter results for 2024. Quarterly revenue was $7.87 billion, compared with $7.859 billion a year ago. Quarterly attributable corporate net income was $905 million, compared with $1.036 billion a year earlier.
IC086SLM082 GE Vernova, which was spun off from General Electric, reports first quarter 2024 results. Total quarterly revenue was $7.26 billion, compared with $6.822 billion in the year-ago quarter. Quarterly net loss was $106 million, compared with a net loss of $346 million in the year-ago quarter.
Johnson Controls Inc. announced results for its fiscal second quarter ended March 31, 2024. Quarterly net sales were $6,699 million, compared to $6,686 million in the prior-year period. Quarterly attributable corporate net loss was $277 million, compared with net income of $133 million a year ago.
Mitsubishi Electric announced its results for the year ended March 31, 2024. Revenue for the fiscal year was 5,257.9 billion yen (about $33.8 billion), compared with 5,003.6 billion yen in the previous year. Operating profit for the year was 328.5 billion yen, compared with 262.3 billion yen in the previous year. Net profit attributable to the company’s shareholders for the full year was 284.9 billion yen, compared with 213.9 billion yen in the previous year. Among them, infrastructure business revenue of 1,0366.6 billion yen, industrial and transportation business revenue of 1,710.6 billion yen, life business revenue of 2,052.2 billion yen, semiconductor and components business revenue of 289.8 billion yen, business platform business revenue of 142.1 billion yen.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) announced its results for the year ended March 31, 2024. Revenue for the fiscal year was 4,657.1 billion yen (approximately $29.9 billion), compared with 4,202.7 billion yen in the previous year. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company for the full year was Y222bn, compared with Y130.4bn in the previous year. Among them, power systems business revenue of 1,761.5 billion yen, industrial and infrastructure business revenue of 795.2 billion yen, logistics, heat and transmission system business revenue of 1,314.5 billion yen, aviation and defense business revenue of 791.5 billion yen.
