Net sales for the fiscal year were 967.3 billion yen (approximately $6.213 billion), compared with 922.4 billion yen in the previous year. Operating profit for the year was 495 billion yen, compared with 498.9 billion yen in the previous year. For the full year, net profit attributable to the owner of the parent company was 369.6 billion yen, compared with 363 billion yen in the previous year.

OMRON announces results for the year ended March 31, 2024. Net sales for the fiscal year were 818.8 billion yen (approximately $5.259 billion), compared with 876.1 billion yen in the previous year. Operating profit for the year was 34.3 billion yen, compared with 100.7 billion yen in the previous year. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company for the full year was Y8.1 billion, compared with Y73.9 billion in the previous year.

FANUC announced its results for the year ended March 31, 2024. Net sales for the fiscal year were 795.3 billion yen (about $5.11 billion), compared with 852 billion yen in the previous year. Operating profit for the year was 141.9 billion yen, compared with 191.4 billion yen in the previous year. Net profit attributable to the owner of the parent company for the full year was 133.2 billion yen, compared with 170.6 billion yen in the previous year.

Goldwind Technology disclosed 2024 quarterly report. Operating income was RMB6.979 billion (approximately US $967 million), up 25.42% year-on-year; Net profit was 333 million yuan, down 73.06% year-on-year.

Industrial and agricultural machinery and other

Caterpillar (CAT) reports first quarter 2024 results. Total quarterly sales revenue was $15.799 billion, compared to $15.862 billion in the year-ago quarter. Quarterly net income was $2.856 billion, compared with $1.943 billion a year ago.

1756-EN2TRXT    Agricultural machinery giant Deere & Company reported results for its fiscal second quarter ended April 28, 2024. Total revenue for the quarter, including finance and other businesses, was $15.235 billion, compared with $17.387 billion a year ago, down 12%. Quarterly net sales were $13.61 billion, compared with $16.079 billion in the year-ago quarter. Quarterly net income was $2.37 billion, down 17% from $2.86 billion a year ago.

Cummins reports first quarter 2024 results. Quarterly net sales were $8.403 billion, compared with $8.453 billion in the prior-year period. Quarterly attributable corporate net income was $1.993 billion, compared with $790 million a year earlier.

Japanese construction machinery company Komatsu announced its results for the year ended March 31, 2024. Net sales for the fiscal year were 3,865.1 billion yen (approximately $24.8 billion), compared with 3,543.5 billion yen in the previous year. Operating profit for the year was 607.2 billion yen, compared with 490.7 billion yen in the previous year. Net profit attributable to the company for the full year was 393.4 billion yen, compared with 326.4 billion yen in the previous year.

KUBOTA Corporation announced its first quarter 2024 results. Quarterly revenue was 775.2 billion yen (about $4.978 billion), compared with 781.6 billion yen a year earlier. Operating profit was 103 billion yen, compared with 103.2 billion yen a year earlier. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was Y72.9 billion, compared with Y69.1 billion a year earlier.
