IC660BBA025K In recent years, Emerson has worked with Chinese charities and ngos to actively participate in charitable activities under the theme of “Emerson, Let Love Never Stranger”, including the New Great Wall Program initiated by the China Rural Development Foundation, which has provided financial support to poor college students every year since 2009, and has invested more than 5.5 million yuan to date. We helped more than 1,800 poor college students. The “Boai School Doctor Room” project helps schools in economically underdeveloped areas to build school doctor rooms, provide basic medical facilities, and provide teachers and students with basic health care, first aid, self-rescue and other training, so as to ensure the safety and health of teachers and students. To date, 26 medical clinics have been built in Guizhou, Sichuan and other places, benefiting more than 50,000 students.
In addition, Emerson participates in the Future Classroom Project initiated by the China Red Cross Foundation, which provides schools with classroom decoration and hardware equipment to promote the growth of rural children with “knowledge and confidence.” After the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, Emerson made an emergency investment of 3 million yuan to build a new teaching building for the students. In the 15 years since then, Emerson has been paying attention to the children of Qingquan Elementary School, setting up the “Emerson Children’s Education Scholarship”, continuing to support the children with excellent academic performance, donating hardware equipment to help the children improve the campus environment and connect to better educational resources.
As a global corporate citizen, Emerson has always taken its corporate citizenship responsibility seriously and established the Emerson China Philanthropy Program in 2009 to improve and enhance people’s lives and the environment. In the future, Emerson will continue to focus on four areas: education, health and humanitarian assistance, community interaction, and emergency relief, and combine the platform resources of partner organizations to strengthen community connection, and work for a fairer and brighter future!
