Application of precise linear axis in core technology
As the complexity and demands of motion increase, linear modules must be more accurate, dynamic and durable. Bosch Rexroth has developed the MKK/MKR linear module family, designed for applications requiring short cycle times and higher process power. In this series, a classic ball rail system is installed in the aluminum body. The sliders with modular brackets are designed to carry loads of 5 to 200kg, with a maximum length of 12m with a drive and 4m with a ball screw assembly.

Linear axes are also suitable for unsupported installation of Cartesian linear robots due to their high rigidity. The CKK/CKR compact module serves as a particularly space-saving solution by combining two guides on a single shaft. This makes it possible to transport loads weighing up to 220kg over a length of up to 10m, even with high lateral forces or torque loads.
When palletizing, various linear systems are often combined to create a multi-axis system that is both cost-effective and powerful and durable. Bosch Rexroth’s Smart Function Kit – Handling provides a modular system that can be combined quickly and flexibly to create a variety of complete solutions and put to use quickly using pre-installed operating software. For scenarios with short cycle times and accurate positioning, two synchronous MKR linear modules in the X direction can be combined with compact modules in the Y and Z axes respectively to form a three-axis system.
The Smart Function Kit for Handling from Bosch Rexroth provides users with a plug and play mechatronics subsystem for handling handling tasks. Intelligent linear robots dramatically reduce the engineering work involved and can be debugged in just a few clicks. Pre-installed operating software supports automatic debugging and visual process definition.
IC200ALG263D Actuators and servo presses
Linear drive technology makes a significant contribution to electric cylinders for factory automation. Electromechanical solutions offer an alternative to pneumatic or fluid drive actuators that convert motor torque directly and precisely into motion, saving energy and resources. Electric cylinders are mainly composed of direct drive and built-in ball or planetary screw assemblies, and are widely used in electronics and battery production or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). A significant advantage of electromechanical actuators is that they are very easy to control and program.
Bosch Rexroth’s EMC and EMC-HP series of electric cylinders have a wide range of applications, from dynamic positioning tasks with forces of 0.1kN to stamping and connection applications of 100kN. The complete functionality includes approximately 3,000 different configurations that can be easily defined and ordered using electronic tools. The combination of force sensors, servo motors, drive controllers and industrial PCS with operating software allows ready-to-use servo presses to be applied as Smart Function kits and ordered directly according to the material number. The mechatronics subsystem is pre-installed and can be debuggable and graphically programmed in minutes using pre-installed browser-based operating software. The package also allows monitoring and transmission of process and quality data, including pass/fail assessment. In addition, functional blocks are provided for quick and easy connection to higher level control systems.
