GE Grid Solutions has introduced the PQMI-T20-C-A, an advanced power quality analyzer designed for commercial, industrial and utility power systems. The device provides comprehensive power monitoring and diagnostic capabilities for medium and low voltage systems, monitoring and analyzing critical power parameters in real time to ensure stable power system operation and power quality optimization.
The PQMI-T20-C-A measures current, voltage, active power, reactive power, power factor, frequency, energy (Wh and VARh) and demand (W, VAR, VA). It also has advanced analytical tools capable of harmonic analysis up to 63 harmonics, providing total harmonic distortion (THD) and total harmonic interference (TIF) data. In addition, the device has built-in event recorders capable of recording up to 150 events, including a Voltage Disturbance Recorder (VDR) that can record up to 500 voltage drop (sags) and voltage peak (swells) events.
The device also has a data logging capability capable of recording up to 98,000 events, and a variety of communication options including a front-facing RS232 serial port, two rear RS485 serial ports (with support for Modbus and DNP 3.0 protocols), and more. And Ethernet connectivity via MultiNet. The PQMII-T20-C-A offers a variety of protection and control features, including over/under current or voltage protection, unbalance protection, demand-based load reduction, power factor control, and capacitor bank switching.
The PQMI-T20-C-A Power quality meter module is distinguished by its high precision measurement (level 0.5) and wide measurement range (voltage 100V to 600V, current 1A to 1000A, power 1kW to 1MW). It can measure a variety of power parameters, including voltage, current, power, harmonics, flicker and distortion. The module also offers a variety of interface options, such as RS232, RS485 and Ethernet, for easy data acquisition and remote monitoring.
In addition, the PQMI-T20-C-A device is designed with the needs of industrial applications in mind, featuring an easy-to-use large illuminated 40-character display and keyboard, support for connection to DCA or SCADA systems, and setup and monitoring via EnerVista software. It is also compatible with GE MultiNet serial to Ethernet converters, offering flexible installation options and fast upgrade capabilities.
The introduction of the PQMII-T20-C-A further expands GE Grid Solutions’ product line in power quality monitoring, providing industrial and commercial users worldwide with more options to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and ensure the reliability and security of their power systems.
