Woodward has introduced a new current-pressure converter, the 9907-1197, in the CPC-II series, a digital governor designed for the Marine and power generation industries. Models 9907-1197 offer pressure ranges from 0 to 25 bar (0 to 363 psi) in Zone 1 & 2 environments, with excellent dynamic performance and oil contamination resistance.
The CPC-II series converters use advanced electro-hydraulic pressure regulation technology to precisely control the oil pressure and thus precisely position the servo system of the single acting steam turbine valve. This precise control is essential to improve turbine speed and load control and to reduce mechanical wear on the system. Models 9907-1197 also have a self-cleaning valve algorithm, which can remove internal oil blockage, further improving the reliability and performance of the equipment.
In addition, models 9907-1197 include valve linearization tables that provide less than 0.2% linear control over the full range. It also features redundant input/sensor and redundant (dual)CPCs (master/slave) capabilities, providing additional security for critical applications. This product is also certified for hazardous places in North America and complies with the relevant CE directives such as ATEX, Machinery, PED and EMC.
Woodward’s CPC-II series of current-pressure converters provide the ideal solution for turbine valve control with high performance and reliability, helping to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency across the power generation industry.
