Fireye is proud to announce the introduction of the new 65UV5-1004ECEX flame scanner, an innovative product designed to meet the high safety and accuracy requirements for flame detection in the industrial sector. The scanner uses advanced microprocessor technology and UV-tube sensors, combined with an electromechanical self-check shutter mechanism, to ensure real-time monitoring of the flame status during various industrial combustion processes.
The 65UV5-1004ECEX flame scanner features a built-in flame relay and analog 4 to 20 mA output, providing a fixed ON/OFF threshold, eliminating the need for an external flame amplifier. It is designed to meet the need for a fast Flame failure response time (FFRT), with a choice of 1 or 4 second response times. In addition, the scanner is powered by an external 24V DC power supply and connected via an integrated 8-pin quick-disconnect connector for easy installation and maintenance.
The scanner’s housing meets the NEMA 4X/IP66 protection rating and is suitable for Class 1, Div. 2 Hazardous environment Groups A, B, C and D, as well as Ex II3 G/D Ex nA IIC T4A environments. CEX models are specifically designed for use in EExd IIC T6 hazard class environments, and CENELEC and ATEX certified housing designs meet IP66 (NEMA 4X) requirements, ensuring reliability and durability in harsh industrial environments.
The introduction of the 65UV5-1004ECEX flame scanner marks another important advance in Fireye’s flame detection technology. It is suitable for the petrochemical, oil refining, energy production, chemical and processing industries to provide a high safety and high efficiency flame detection solution for these industries.
Concluding remarks:
The Fireye 65UV5-1004ECEX flame scanner sets a new benchmark for industrial safety with its outstanding performance and safety features. We look forward to the application of this scanner worldwide, contributing to the improvement of industrial safety and efficiency.”
