Emerson, the global leader in industrial automation and control, recently introduced the IC695CRU320, a new controller in its PACSystems RX3i family. Designed for industrial applications that require high availability and fault tolerance, the controller features thermal redundancy to ensure continuous operation of critical applications and seamless switching to backup processors even in the event of a primary CPU failure.
The IC695CRU320 is powered by a 1GHz Intel Celeron-M processor and comes with 64MB of non-volatile flash memory and 64MB of random access memory (RAM) with battery backup.
The module supports two serial communication ports, which comply with RS232 and RS485 communication standards, providing rich communication capabilities. In addition, it supports local and remote expansion racks, compatible with expansion modules for the series 90-30 I/O product line, but not host racks. The controller uses Proficy Machine Edition as the development environment, which is shared by all GE Fanuc controllers.
The IC695CRU320 has a wide range of applications, including discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, packaging machinery, food processing, utilities, automotive and textiles. The introduction of the IC695CRU320, part of the GE Fanuc RX3i PACSystems product family, further strengthens Emerson’s leadership in industrial automation and provides customers with more robust and reliable automation control solutions.
