Emerson recently introduced its new A6500-CC communication and frame interface module, further enhancing its product line in industrial automation. Designed for the CSI 6500 mechanical health monitoring system, this module provides a highly reliable communication solution for a wide range of critical rotating equipment such as steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors and water turbines.
The A6500-CC module has several advanced features, including the ability to output monitoring data via ModBus TCP/IP or ModBus RTU, and transfer data to third-party systems via OPC UA. It occupies a slot position and, when combined with other CSI A6500 ATG monitoring modules, can form a complete API 670 compliant device protection monitoring system.
The module is designed with space efficiency in mind, and the 3U single-slot plug-in module saves half of the cabinet space compared to the traditional 6U card. In addition, the A6500-CC is an API 670 compliant hot-swappable module with self-test capabilities, including software, power input, and hardware temperature monitoring, while providing password protected user configuration.
The A6500-CC module has strong environmental tolerance and can operate stably in the operating temperature range of -20°C to 70°C, while also having IP20 level of protection for a variety of industrial environments. Its electromagnetic compatibility meets the EN50081-1 / EN50082-2 standard, while the power consumption is only up to 4W, showing the characteristics of efficient energy use.
The introduction of this module not only enhances Emerson’s technical strength in the field of mechanical health monitoring, but also provides industrial users with a more flexible and reliable monitoring solution that helps improve the efficiency and safety of plant operations.
