National Instruments has announced the introduction of a new generation X-Series data acquisition card, the PCI-6351. With a 16-bit resolution and a maximum sample rate of 1.25 MS/s, this high-performance multi-function I/O device offers 16 analog inputs (AI) and 2 analog outputs (AO), as well as 24 two-way digital I/O channels and four 32-bit counters/timers for a variety of applications such as PWM, encoder, frequency and event counting.
Pci-6351 utilizes a high-throughput PCI Express bus and multi-core optimized drivers and application software for high-performance data acquisition and processing. Its onboard NI-STC3 timing and synchronization technology provides advanced timing capabilities, including independent analog and digital timing engines and re-triggering measurement tasks. These features make the PCI-6351 ideal for a wide range of application scenarios, from basic data logging to control and test automation.
The device also offers an analog input FIFO cache size of 2047 samples, a maximum number of differential analog input channels of 8, synchronous sampling function of no, analog input absolute accuracy of 1520 μV, and the device has sealing characteristics to adapt to a variety of industrial environments.
The included NI‑DAQmx driver and configuration utility simplify the device configuration and measurement process, ensuring that users can quickly start using and integrate into existing systems. The introduction of PCI-6351 further strengthens National Instruments’ leadership position in data acquisition and automation control, providing customers with strong technical support and solutions.
