Motorola recently introduced a high-performance VME single-board computer, the MVME177-003. With its superior performance and wide range of applications, this single-board computer is the ideal choice for industrial control, data acquisition, test and measurement applications.

The MVME177-003 single board computer is equipped with the MC68060 32-bit microprocessor and has high performance DMA function. It also comes with four 32-bit timers and a watchdog timer, as well as remote reset/abort/status control. The low power consumption of this single-board computer makes it particularly useful in scientific, industrial and high-end monitoring applications.

The module is designed for reliable operation over the inlet air temperature range of 0° to 55°C (32° to 131°F). It uses a 100 CFM axial fan to achieve forced air cooling, ensuring stable operation of the module in high temperature environments. For temperature qualification, the module is tested in a standard Motorola vmessystem chassis, which can operate reliably at higher ambient temperatures through forced cooling of three axial fan assemblies.
