Allen-Bradley recently announced that its 2711P-T10C4D8 PanelView Plus 7 graphics terminal has been replaced by the 2711P-T10C22D9P model and will cease production on December 30, 2021. This 10.4-inch high-performance terminal has been widely used in industrial automation with its rich features and flexible configuration, providing an intuitive operating experience and powerful data processing capabilities.
The 2711P-T10C4D8 terminal is powered by the Windows CE 6.0 operating system, has an 18-bit color TFT LCD display of 640 x 480 pixels, supports up to 67 languages, and has 512MB of memory and 512MB of non-volatile memory, of which approximately 80MB is available for the user.
In addition, the terminal is equipped with a wealth of communication interfaces, including an Ethernet port, an RS-232 interface and two USB interfaces.
The termination of the terminal may have some impact on spare parts inventory and future project planning for existing users and system integrators. Allen-Bradley recommends that users switch to the new replacement model 2711P-T10C22D9P, which offers similar functionality and performance while possibly incorporating some additional improvements and features.
