Emerson, the global leader in automation technology, recently introduced the A6500-RC 16-channel relay output module, an innovative product that provides high reliability protection for the most critical rotating equipment in the plant. The module is designed to work with the Emerson AMS 6500 ATG to build a complete API 670 compliant mechanical protection monitoring system for a wide range of turbine, gas turbine, compressor and water turbine applications.
The A6500-RC module features its 16-channel output relay, capable of receiving clear, alarm or alarm signals from any channel and using them as input signals. The module uses Boolean logic and time delay function, along with easy-to-use software, provides graphical configuration guidance, and simplifies the user configuration process.
In terms of technical specifications, the A6500-RC module has 66 inputs and 30 logical expressions, supports redundant relay configurations, and complies with API 670 specifications. The control voltage is 13-32 VDC, the contact load is AC/ DC-48/32 V-2A, and the option of normally open or normally closed and single pole double throw (SPDT) logic is available. In addition, the module supports password protection to ensure security.
The A6500-RC module is a 3-U, 2-slot plug-in design that saves half of the cabinet space compared to traditional 6-U cards. This design not only improves space efficiency, but also makes maintenance and upgrading easier. The introduction of the A6500-RC 16-channel relay output module further strengthens Emerson’s leadership position in industrial automation and mechanical health monitoring. The module is expected to be widely used worldwide to help enterprises improve production efficiency, optimize product quality, reduce energy consumption and reduce failure rates.
