Rockwell Automation has announced the launch of its new CompactLogix controller, the 5069-L380ERM, a high-performance industrial controller with 8MB of user memory. Part of the CompactLogix 5380 series, this controller meets the growing demand for machines and devices in intelligent manufacturing with its enhanced processing power and advanced features.
The main features of the 5069-L380ERM controller include:
8MB of user memory and 2GB of non-volatile memory, the latter expandable up to 32GB with a compatible SD card.
Supports EtherNet/IP networks and provides high-speed I/O and motion control capabilities.
Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports for high-speed I/O, motion control, device level ring network (DLR), and linear topology.
The controller status and fault information are displayed, simplifying diagnosis and troubleshooting.
Supports integrated motion control for up to 32 axes.
It meets the requirements of SIL 3/PLe functional safety level, and the optimized design can shorten the safety response time.
The controller is suitable for process control applications in the chemical, food and beverage, life sciences, metals and mining, oil and gas, and plastic products industries. Its automatic diagnostics feature allows users to subscribe to and receive diagnostics through FactoryTalk View Site Edition without additional programming, reducing development effort. In addition, it is tightly integrated with the PlantPAx® 5.0 system, reducing the need to import user-defined instructions.
The introduction of the 5069-L380ERM controller further expands Rockwell Automation’s product line in industrial automation and demonstrates the company’s technical strength in providing innovative industrial automation solutions.
