Products Description
Featured with an FPGA (1M Gate Virtex-II), the National Instruments PCI-7811 (Part number: 779363-01) is a Digital Reconfigurable I/O Device. This model offers customizeable I/O operation, onboard processing, and is an ideal solution for sensor simulation, waveform generation, and applications where fine-controlling is required with narrow margins. The reconfigurable FPGA incorporated in this model offers 10,240 flip-lops and 4-input LUTs, 40 18×18 multipliers, and 720 Kbits encoded block RAM.
PCI-7811
This model comes with 160 TTL compatible digital I/O channels. These digital I/O channels provide 4.0 mA source current, 4.0 mA sink current, and each one can be programmed for its power-on state. This Digital Reconfigurable I/O Device enables the users to define their own measurement hardware circuitry through FPGA chips and National Instruments LabVIEW graphical software tools. This model offers integrated short-circuit protection on all of its output lines for up to eight lines at a time. While operating in typical conditions, the NI PCI-7811 device consumes 650 mA of current.
Four 68-pin, VHDCI high density female connectors are incorporated in this RIO Device for I/O connections. The user can operate this device as either a master or slave in any PCI expansion slot. The PCI-7811 features three DMA channels and supports three data transfer modes: Interrupts, DMA, and programmed I/O. For time related functions, Digital Reconfigurable I/O Device comes equipped with an onboard clock. The physical dimensions are 17 cm by 11 cm (without connectors) and this model weighs around 112 g.
