CI853 RS-232 module protocols:
COMLI can be used on the build in COM3 port and optionally on the CI853 ports. The cable length can be extended considerably (to several km) using a fiber optic converter. RS-232C is the standard communication interface used for serial communication with COMLI. The CI853 supports Hot Swap. COMLI is an ABB protocol for data transmission between controllers. It is designed for asynchronous master/slave communication in half-duplex. COMLI protocol supports dial-up modem controlled from the application. CI853 supports both Master/Slave mode in COMLI.
MODBUS RTU is a standard protocol widely spread because of its ease of use and reliability. Modbus RTU is an open, serial (RS-232 or RS-485) protocol derived from the Master/Slave architecture exchanging information in half duplex mode. The Modbus functionality can be configured both on the COM ports of AC 800M and CI853. Module Redundancy is not available in MODBUS RTU. CI853 supports only Master mode in MODBUS RTU.

Remote input devices enable users who are far away from the computer to perform batch input jobs on distant computers. The simplest structure of the device consists of a printer, a card reader and its communication-control processor. Since the information in the communication line is transmitted in serial mode, the communication control processor in the equipment needs to convert the information input to the computer from parallel to serial and send it to the communication line, and then output the information sent from the communication line from serial to parallel. In addition, information transmission and error correction should be monitored according to the specified communication procedures.
In order to realize the long control distance and high precision, the accuracy of remote equipment information must be improved. Because of the communication problems between multiple systems, sometimes the remote instruction information is typed manually. In the case of large data volume, the error rate of information typing increases. In order to improve the accuracy of input remote device information, an ARM-based automatic input conversion system for remote device information is developed. The remote device information is transmitted to the system through RS485 protocol. The system analyzes the information protocol and data, and forwards the obtained keyboard and mouse data to the control system through PS2 keyboard protocol and serial mouse protocol. In practice, the remote equipment information automatic input conversion system improves the accuracy of information input and the efficiency of control automation.
System working principle
The system receives keyboard and mouse commands in real time and forwards them to the computer host to realize normal keyboard and mouse information input. Under the control of the external device, the keyboard and mouse information transmission channel is switched automatically, and the instructions sent by the external device are received. The information that can be received by the computer host is generated and sent to the computer host according to the designed time sequence, so as to realize the simulation key person of various parameters in the remote device information. After parameter typing, the control will be returned to the keyboard and mouse in time to restore the normal control function.
