It mainly includes conductor DC resistance, insulation resistance, finished product voltage test and voltage test between insulated wire cores, each of which is very important. Conductor resistance directly reflects the electrical transmission performance of the cable and directly affects the temperature, life, voltage drop, and operation safety of the cable during energized operation. It mainly examines the material and cross-sectional area of the conductor. This kind of cable laid in the line will increase the loss when the current passes through the line, cause the cable conductor itself to heat, cause the insulation of the coated conductor aging and cracking, cause the power supply line leakage, short circuit, and even cause fire, endanger the safety of human life and property. The standard has strict stipulations on the DC resistance value of the conductor of cables of different specifications, which shall not exceed the value specified in the standard.
Insulation resistance, finished product voltage test and voltage test between insulated wire cores all examine the electrical insulation performance of the insulation layer and sheath layer of the cable. Insulation resistance is the resistance of the insulation material between the two conductors, which should be large enough to play the role of insulation protection. Voltage test of finished product and voltage test between insulated wire cores not only requires sufficient insulation capacity of cable, but also requires uniform insulation or sheath material without impurities, uniform enough thickness, and no invisible trachoma on the surface, otherwise it will cause local breakdown during voltage test.
