A field excitation is an amplifier circuit, except that the amplified signal is not a sinusoidal signal, but a sawtooth signal. The field output stage circuit is a power amplifier circuit, and the general audio amplifier circuit is basically the same. In the course of the analysis of these two circuits, the difficulty lies not in the amplifying circuit itself, but in some related adjusting circuit.
The role of field excitation is:
(1) Provide the field deflection coil with a good linearity and sufficient amplitude, which can be synchronized by the field synchronization pulse, generate a uniformly varied magnetic field, and control the electron beam for uniform scanning along the vertical direction.
(2) Provide blanking signal to eliminate the backsweep line generated by the reverse path.
(3) The field parabolic wave voltage is provided for the horizontal pillow calibration circuit during the positive path of field scanning.
