On May 24th, the 8th China Robot Summit and Intelligent Economy Talent Summit opened in Yuyao, Zhejiang Province. With the theme of “Intelligent connection of machines and empowering everything”, the summit focused on key fields such as core and key technologies of robotics, digital industry chain technology and application of high-end robot technology, promoting the integrated development of digital economy and real economy and expanding the scale and level of robot industry. Nearly 100 domestic and foreign leading enterprises, institutions and scientific research platforms gathered, and more than 500 pieces of the latest application products, technological achievements and solutions were physically displayed on site.
The three businesses of Midea Group, namely robot and automation, Midea Industrial technology, and Midea Blue & Orange Laboratory, jointly appeared at the summit, showing Midea’s strong overall strength in hardware, software and research and development in the field of robots, especially more in line with domestic and local needs, to promote the high-quality development of the robot industry, leading the development of the industry, and helping the country to upgrade “intelligent manufacturing”. Academician Pan Yunhe, former Executive Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Bian Shuguang, Deputy director of the High-tech Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Li Jinzhong, deputy director of the Industrial Development Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Professor Zhao Jie, group leader of the National Key Research and Development Program “Intelligent Robot” and other important guests of the Summit came to the booth of Midea Group for guidance and exchange.
The “hottest kid” : Kuka Heavy-duty robot
The largest size and the highly recognizable Kuka orange color made the KR 500 FORTEC from Kuka China, a unit of Midea Robotics and Automation Division, the most eye-catching robot at the show. This multi-functional heavy-duty robot has the characteristics of precision, strong efficiency and diversity, set strength, technology and precision in one, it can achieve 0.08mm repeated accurate positioning, easily handling up to 500 kg of large and heavy parts, with strong versatility, high precision control, modular, flexible, strong scalability and other advantages. Ensure the stability of the process and data traceability, while easy to maintain, cost-effective. Therefore, it is widely used, such as new energy vehicle three-electric system, 5G radiator, aerospace, heavy industry, metallurgy and other fields.
Among them, the MT version robot is suitable for high-load range friction stir welding, milling and other applications, while the cast version robot is suitable for heavy duty tasks in the casting industry. A working range of up to 3,326 mm, with a compact central hand design and less intrusive profile, creates a large working space and enables large parts to be machined in small working units, while a large load eccentricity ensures rigidity for end machining.
Kuka KR 500 FORTEC heavy duty robot
At present, Kuka China has set up two R&D centers in Shunde and Shanghai, and production bases in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai and other places, mainly covering Kuka robot, Kuka system, Kuka industrial automation, Kuka logistics automation and Risgar Medical five business segments, committed to providing a wide range of products, system integration and perfect services for a wide range of industrial fields.
In the field of industrial robots, Midea has always been in the forefront of the industry, and promote localization, localization development. At the National Two Sessions held in March this year, Zhong Zheng, deputy to the 14th National People’s Congress and vice president and CFO of Midea Group, put forward suggestions to solve the problem of the core parts of industrial robot “jam”, hoping to optimize the industry ecology through policy support, strengthen technology research, the introduction of international top talent
