Recently, Schaeffler Group held a global supplier conference in Herzogenaurach, Germany. More than 450 guests, including suppliers’ representatives, attended the conference. At the conference, Schaeffler presented the “Schaeffler Supplier Awards” to suppliers for outstanding performance, with 19 suppliers from around the world receiving awards in five categories: innovation, sustainability, cost effectiveness, quality and supply chain.
The digital transformation and sustainable development of supply chain are the key topics discussed at this year’s Supplier Conference. Andreas Schick, Chief Operating Officer of Schaeffler Group, said: “Digitization offers great potential for the development of innovative products and solutions, and Schaeffler is actively transforming the company by implementing digital solutions throughout its supply chain. Together with our suppliers, we will take advantage of the opportunities presented by digitization to make value creation more flexible, efficient and sustainable.”

The strategic importance of digitalization to Schaeffler is also reflected in the “Innovation” category of the Supplier Awards. Awards in this category are given to vendors who develop digital solutions related to Industry 4.0 or who jointly develop online service portals. The “Sustainability” category recognizes suppliers that contribute to Schaeffler’s goal of climate neutrality by 2040 through efficient use of raw materials, recycling of production waste and renewable energy generation. The “Supply Chain” category is awarded to suppliers with high delivery reliability and high supply chain resilience; The “Quality” category recognizes suppliers for outstanding quality performance; The “value” category recognizes partners who have played an important role in enhancing Schaeffler’s global competitiveness.
