On June 20, local time, the 11th Sino-German Economic and Technological Cooperation Forum was held in Berlin, Germany. The forum, co-organized by the National Development and Reform Commission of China and the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection of Germany with the theme of “Working together for Green Development”, attracted nearly 200 delegates from China and Germany.
Roland Busch, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee of the German Economy, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and CEO of Siemens, attended the forum and delivered a speech.
Boleren attended and delivered a speech at the 11th China-Germany Economic and Technological Cooperation Forum.
The following are excerpts from Mr. Boleren’s remarks
The long-term cooperation between China and Germany has achieved great success and benefited the economies of both countries.
To jointly address serious challenges, China is one of the most important partners.
At present, China is striving to promote high-quality development. We believe that the German economy, with its commitment to innovation and high quality, is a partner on China’s development path.
To achieve the ambitious goal of combating climate change, two drivers are needed first: innovation and digitalization.
To be sure, no one country or company can meet these challenges alone.
We see great opportunities for China-Germany cooperation. The cooperation between the two sides in the field of automation and “Industry 4.0” has achieved remarkable results, such as in many industries such as mechanical manufacturing, automotive engineering, chemical industry and so on. We believe that German companies will continue to increase their investment in China.
Now and in the future, I am a strong supporter of openness and cooperation. There is a Chinese proverb: Cooperation brings both benefits. We believe that cooperation will bring win-win results!
