Cheng Nan suggested that the current development model of the manufacturing industry is different from the past, and it is necessary to give manufacturing enterprises more space for development. Although the average tax burden level of the manufacturing industry has declined in recent years, under the current circumstances, there is still a greater need to let manufacturing enterprises release water and fish, provide manufacturing enterprises with greater profit space, and encourage enterprises to expand reproduction.
“The traditional industry is an important pillar of the national economy, especially after so many years of development, China’s traditional industry is based, has scale, has advantages, but it does face multiple pressures such as rising costs, declining competitiveness, and limited growth space.” In this case, we need to use a new generation of information technology to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and it is more feasible for old trees to grow new buds than to cultivate new industries out of nothing. In this process, we hope to further tap the potential of traditional industries by transforming traditional technological processes and improving resource utilization efficiency.” Cheng Nan said.
Zhong Zhengsheng, a member of the China Chief Economist Forum, also suggested that stabilizing manufacturing investment this year needs to seek and expand supporting factors, such as green and low-carbon, intelligent manufacturing, autonomous control and automobile industry chain.
“China’s midstream manufacturing industry, especially high-end equipment manufacturing industry, is developing very rapidly. Like last year’s manufacturing technology transformation investment increased by 8.4%, the proportion of manufacturing investment reached 40.6%, the Party’s 20th Congress report pointed out that the implementation of industrial base reconstruction projects, to promote the high-end, intelligent, green development of manufacturing industry, but also pointed out the key direction of manufacturing technology transformation. At the same time, the development of manufacturing industry is, after all, the development of manufacturing enterprises, so private enterprises account for the vast proportion of manufacturing investment. How to boost the confidence of private entrepreneurs is also crucial.” Zhong Zhengsheng said.
