It is understood that more than 20 intelligent robots will be displayed at the conference, including bipedal robots equipped with large model dialogue ability, Tesla humanoid robot Optimus Prime, on science and technology Beckham 4.0 and other intelligent robots will debut.
Wu Jincheng, director of the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission, said at the Shanghai Municipal government press conference that the 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference will further focus on the new air of industrial and technological change, from large models, intelligent computing, scientific intelligence, embodied intelligence and other aspects of the force, to accelerate the evolution of a new generation of artificial intelligence technology innovation.
Undoubtedly, this artificial intelligence conference will push artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence, humanoid robots, intelligent robots and so on to a new peak.

On June 28, the Beijing Robot Industry Innovation and Development Action Plan (2023-2025) issued by the Beijing Municipal People’s Government proposed:
By 2025, the innovation ability of the city’s robot industry will be greatly improved, 100 kinds of high-tech and high value-added robot products will be cultivated, 100 kinds of application scenarios with national promotion value, and the number of 10,000 robots will reach the world’s leading level, forming a development ecology of innovation elements gathering and innovation and entrepreneurship active. The revenue of the city’s core robot industry has reached more than 30 billion yuan, creating a domestic leading and international advanced robot industrial cluster.
The “Action Plan” proposes to step up the layout of humanoid robots. To mark the international leading humanoid robot products, support enterprises and colleges and universities to carry out humanoid robot machine products, key components research and engineering, accelerate the construction of Beijing humanoid robot industry innovation center, striving for the national manufacturing innovation center.
With the goal of small-batch production and application of humanoid robots, we will create basic conditions such as general intelligence underlying software and interfaces, and general hardware development supporting facilities, focus on breaking through key technologies such as general prototype of humanoid robots and general artificial intelligence large models, and vigorously promote the development and application of open source control systems, open source chips, and open source simulation software. Guided by typical scenario application demonstrations such as 3C electronic manufacturing, new energy vehicle production, and security and emergency response, it supports upstream and downstream enterprises of the industrial chain to jointly carry out product research and production line construction by “revealing the list” and accelerates the process of autonomy of the whole industrial chain.
The “action plan” said that it will strengthen the support of artificial intelligence large models. Develop and continuously improve the general artificial intelligence model of robots, mine application scenario resources, provide diversified scenario data support for model pre-training, and improve the universality and practicability of the model. It breaks through the key technology of large-model multi-module data fusion, and develops the large-model system of image, text, voice and multi-mode sensor data fusion processing such as force, heat, electricity and magnetic.
Based on the characteristics of various robot technologies and application scenarios, efficient fine-tuning algorithms for large models are developed to promote the deepening application of large models in the field of robots. Build an open source platform for model optimization algorithms, create a large model ecology with extensive participation and interactive optimization of the whole industry, and promote the iterative improvement of model performance.
The “action plan” pointed out that the cultivation of high-quality robot enterprises. Focusing on medical health, cooperation, logistics robots and other fields, support the head enterprises to become bigger and stronger, introduce 1-2 international first-class robot machine enterprises, drive the upstream and downstream enterprises of the industrial chain to gather and develop, and build large-scale industrial clusters. For special robots, key parts and other fields, support and promote a group of innovative enterprises focusing on segmented areas with high growth expectations to do better and stronger, and cultivate a group of specialized and special new “little giant” and unicorn enterprises with global influence.
