According to Taiwan media reports, Taiwan manufacturer Kangshu Technology announced on the evening of July 3 that it officially completed the acquisition of ABB’s Power Conversion business unit (ABB Power Conversion), and the transaction has met all delivery prerequisites, including obtaining the United States CFIUS national security audit. Kangshu announced on January 20 this year that it acquired all the shares of ABB’s power conversion business unit for $505 million to expand the layout of 5G, data centers, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and expand the U.S. market.
ABB’s Power Conversion division, headquartered in Plano, Texas, with production facilities in China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Mexico and India, serves the data center server, telecommunications and electric vehicle industries.
