Recently, Emerson Shutoff Valve Business was invited to participate in the fifth China LNG Conference. The conference, sponsored by the China Petroleum Institute and petrochina and supported by CNOOC and Sinopec, showcased the innovative technological achievements of the LNG industry for participants and built a communication platform for the LNG industry.
Mr. Wu Futong, Senior Business Development Manager of shut-off Valve Business Unit, gave a keynote speech. Two Emerson shut-off valves for the LNG industry – AEV ball valves and Vanessa three eccentric valves – were introduced, both of which have been successfully used in cryogenized conditions in the LNG industry and have been well received by customers.
The AEV C double eccentric forced sealing ball valve adopts a new generation of ultra-low temperature ball valve technology, which solves the problems of the traditional low temperature ball valve chamber containing pressure and difficult to seal at low temperature, and simplifies the complex seat structure of the traditional low temperature ball valve. The C-ball design, without the traditional valve chamber dead zone, eliminates the risk of catastrophic failure due to the expansion of unstable media in the valve chamber in the two-way seal design.
Emerson’s Vanessa brand has more than 50 years of experience in the design and production of three-eccentric valves. Vanessa three-eccentric valves effectively solve the problems of internal leakage, external leakage and valve jam in ultra-low temperature conditions, helping customers save energy, reduce emissions and improve productivity. Its true top-mounted structure – the spool can all be extracted from the body flange. Truly realize the online maintenance of valve spool including valve plate, stem, bearing, sealing ring and seat, and obtain ISO 15848-1 BH, ISO 10497 and API 607 international certifications.
