With a mission to help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner and safer, Thermo Feld continues to improve its sustainability goals and fulfill its social responsibility. In 2022, Thermo Field will further increase its carbon reduction target to achieve a 50% reduction in absolute greenhouse gas emissions from direct and indirect emissions by 2030 compared to 2018. In addition, by the end of 2027, Thermo Feld will help more than 90% of its suppliers set their own scientific carbon emission targets, contributing to global carbon reduction.
Over the past year, Thermo Field has partnered with a number of international organizations to improve transplant diagnostics and increase access to organ transplants for patients with related diseases. Launching a new electron microscope to help customers advance drug discovery for degenerative diseases and healthier lives. At the same time, Thermo Feld supports researchers around the world to accelerate research on climate and microplastic pollutants, and to help automobile manufacturers improve the efficiency of electric vehicles with innovative solutions to work together to create a cleaner environment. In addition, Thermo Fei also ensures human survival and ecological safety through its cutting-edge water quality monitoring and analysis technology, as well as food safety testing solutions.
Around the four key pillars of environment, people, community and operations, Thermo Feld has also made remarkable achievements in the New Year. In terms of environmental protection, Thermo Field’s goal of “net zero carbon emissions by 2050” was approved by the Science Carbon Target Initiative (SBTi) and achieved a 25% reduction in absolute greenhouse gas emissions from direct and indirect emissions compared to 2018. In terms of employee care, Thermo Field continues to build a diverse and inclusive workplace and continues to increase the proportion of female employees. At the same time, for the community, Thermo Field also reached more than 89,500 students through various corporate social responsibility programs, and employees volunteered more than 120,000 hours a year. and continue to improve access to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education globally.
