In the view of Chai Xiaozhou, president of Honeywell’s Safety and Productivity Solutions Group in China, these initiatives continue Honeywell’s philosophy of deep cultivation in China, local innovation to promote growth and seek long-term development.
Deep cultivation of the Chinese market for nearly 90 years
As a Fortune Global 500 multinational company, Honeywell is better known in China for its N95 masks and various intelligent control devices in high-end buildings.
This large conglomerate, founded in 1885 in the United States, has long been known to the public as one of the 30 companies that make up the Dow Jones Index. Honeywell’s four business groups, Safety and Productivity Solutions, Aerospace, Characteristic Materials and Technologies, and Smart Building Technologies, provide a range of advanced digital, automation, and sustainability solutions for a wide range of industries.
Honeywell opened its first dealership in Shanghai in 1935, nearly 90 years ago. At present, all of Honeywell’s business groups have settled in China, and Shanghai is also Honeywell’s Asia-Pacific headquarters.
Honeywell has always been committed to China for long-term development, with local innovation to drive growth. China has become Honeywell’s second largest single market and the company’s largest growth market worldwide.
In recent years, as China has actively promoted a higher level of opening-up, the central and western regions are becoming new growth engines. Through a series of aggressive investments, Honeywell is helping the Midwest move toward a lower carbon, more digital and smarter direction.
In early 2020, Honeywell established Huosheng Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. in Wuhan, Hubei Province, as Honeywell’s emerging markets China headquarters and innovation center, and became the first Global 500 company to invest in Wuhan after the unsealing. Thanks to the unique advantages of Hubei Province, Honeywell Emerging Markets China headquarters has achieved business expansion in Hubei Province in the past three years, including logistics and retail, intelligent manufacturing, security protection, medical health, intelligent life, and public fire protection.
