Continuation of success
Realize the Group Vision
Current CEO Daniel Hager welcomed and looked forward to Sabine Busse and supported her as she began her tenure: “In my opinion, Sabine Busse is the ideal candidate for a thriving multinational company like Hager Group. She has a deep understanding of the energy and electrical industries, and throughout her career has proven her ability to build service-oriented companies and lead the group through successful transformation through strong leadership.”
He continued: “Sabine Busse has a deep understanding of the expectations of our customers in the 21st century and the rapidly changing market environment. I am confident that with her leadership and communication skills, she will not only continue our past success, but also give the Hager Group new momentum on the road to building the electrical world of the future.”
Daniel Hager, the third generation of the Hager family, will step down as CEO of the Hager Group after a successful 15-year tenure and will become chairman of the Group’s supervisory board until the end of the year. It is not the first time that a non-family member has led a company for the Hager Group, which was founded in 1955. From 1988 to 2008, Alfred Bricka successfully led the Hager Group and drove its rapid growth.
The Hager Group plans a gradual transition in the second half of the year, with Sabine Busse starting at the Blieskastel headquarters at the end of August and co-leading the company with Daniel Hager for three months. As of December 1, with the transition of Daniel Hager as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Sabine Busse will assume all operational and leadership responsibilities for the Group alone.
