For process industry applications, Rockwell Automation has optimized and improved the Studio 5000 Logix Designer® with the new Studio 5000 Logix Designer® V35. The addition of 5x80P controller support through extended SequenceManage™ enables customers to extend the same accessible and effective functionality to process applications with the latest process controller technology.
The Studio 5000 Logix Designer V35 works with all new hardware and introduces support for:
FLEXHA™ 5000 I/O
GuardLink®
1756-EN4TR Enhancements
In order to better support Motion applications within Studio 5000®, the number one upgrade required for this family of products is the ability to virtualize Motion for Kinetix®, PowerFlex® and iTRAK® 5730 CIP Motion devices. In addition, with the axis test mode, both physical and simulation controllers can further leverage Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk® Logix Echo software products for greater flexibility and design-time experimentation through virtualization.
One of the new advantages of the Studio 5000 Logix Designer V35 is the extensibility of three new procedure instructions (including P_SD, P_nPOS, and P_valveMP) that will be added and embedded in the software. These instructions, as well as various process improvement features in the software, can be seamlessly paired with PlantPAx® to simplify the programming of process applications.
In addition, the latest version of the Studio 5000 Logix Designer V35 will be integrated with FactoryTalk Logix Echo V2 and the upcoming Studio 5000 Logix Designer SDK. The first publicly available user scripting utility for Studio 5000. This improvement enables users to write C++ script commands to automate repetitive tasks in the Logix Designer application environment.
