Schneider Electric and SUEZ have joined forces to accelerate the deployment and application of digital solutions in water cycle management systems to help the global water industry improve energy efficiency, conserve resource consumption and better manage its carbon footprint.
Due to factors such as climate change and human activities, water scarcity in some parts of the world has become increasingly prominent. It is predicted that by 2025, two-thirds of the world’s population will live in water-stressed areas. Therefore, it is urgent to strengthen the ability of water resources management and promote the intensive and safe use of water resources.
As a global expert in digital transformation in energy management and automation, Schneider Electric wants to work with Suez, a leader in digital and waste recycling solutions in the water sector, to help address the global challenge of water scarcity by deploying more resilient and better performing water recycling infrastructure.
Under an international agreement signed by the two companies, Schneider Electric will integrate Suez’s AQUADVANCED® family of software in its Water cycle management software EcoStruxureâ„¢ Water Advisor. The AQUADVANCED series of software has more than 10 years of practical experience in serving public and private water management companies around the world, and currently covers more than 1,500 pipe networks and water plants worldwide. Patricia Villoslada, Senior Vice President, Digital Solutions, Suez, said: “This partnership, which combines Suez’s expertise and leading digital solutions with Schneider Electric’s global integration capabilities, will help promote the introduction, adoption and application of the AQUADVANCED series of software in the global market.”
