Innovative vehicles, innovative technology: Frank M. Rinderknecht and Rainer Zietlow embark on their next adventure in two Hart-powered ID.Buzz cars.
Innovative vehicles, innovative technologies: Frank M. Rinderknecht, founder and CEO of concept car specialist Rinspeed, and Rainer Zietlow, record-breaking driver of Challenge4.de, set their sights on an extraordinary electric vehicle adventure in the Volkswagen ID.Buzz. The two vehicles will travel across several continents before crossing the Mediterranean – passing through Switzerland, Italy, and on to Croatia, Turkey, Greece, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. In doing so, Rinderknecht and Zietlow will tackle the difficulty of having little charging infrastructure in these regions. Still, can electric cars operate reliably in Europe and elsewhere outside its borders? At the end of September, Rinderknecht and Zietlow will find out when they arrive at their final destination in Qatar.
Harting Technology Group and Volkswagen Group go hand in hand. Harting, a Tier 1 cable supplier of the Volkswagen Group, winner of the Volkswagen Group 2020 Electric Vehicle Category award and supplier of ID.Buzz, has developed robust, reliable and user-friendly charging solutions. Marco Grinblats, Managing Director of Harting Automotive, said: “Our participation as a partner in this’ journey of excellence ‘is an opportunity to once again demonstrate the high performance of Harting’s electric vehicle solutions. Rugged, high performance – These product characteristics are critical to this journey. Here, both drivers can fully trust our charging solution. Christopher Ukatz, Managing Director of Harting Germany, is also excited about the upcoming adventure: “We have known Frank M. Rinderknecht and Rainer Zietlow for many years and have worked with them successfully many times. We are proud to be able to actively support them in this first joint project. This challenge reflects Harting’s motto: “Striving for excellence”.
