Carbon reduction demonstration projects breakthrough to solve a number of technical problems
China’s first large-scale green hydrogen production project not only found a solution for the decarbonization of industrial enterprises in China, but also solved a number of technical problems during the project construction process, and promoted the development of relevant industrial equipment in China.
The reporter saw in the photovoltaic power plant of nearly 10,000 mu that nearly 550,000 photovoltaic panels were installed on the site of 3 kilometers from east to west and 3.5 kilometers from north to south.
The person in charge told reporters that in order to cope with the local extreme weather, the photovoltaic panel is adjustable from the original panel Angle with the sunlight Angle, designed to be a fixed Angle, and the photovoltaic panel fixed pile has been strengthened.
High-efficiency and high-power electrolytic cell is the key equipment for large-scale hydrogen production from renewable energy sources, and its technological development and cost advantages affect the large-scale development process of hydrogen energy industry in China. In the electrolytic cell workshop of the Kuqa demonstration project, the reporter learned that before the start of this project, the cumulative domestic demand for the high-efficiency high-power electrolytic cell used in the project was less than 30 units, and the Kuqa demonstration project purchased 52 units at a time.
The instability of photovoltaic power generation has formed a contradiction with the continuous and stable power supply required for hydrogen production. In order to overcome this contradiction, the integrated control system independently developed by technicians makes it possible to produce hydrogen on a large scale by relying on clean electricity.
The completion and operation of the Kuqa project not only broke through the whole industrial chain of photovoltaic power generation, green electricity transmission, green hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, hydrogen transport and green hydrogen refining for the first time, but also formed a large-scale electrolytic water hydrogen production process and engineering complete sets of technologies with independent intellectual property rights, which will provide replicable and scalable demonstration cases for the development of green hydrogen production industry from renewable energy sources such as wind and light.
