On August 24, Delta held the 2022 Sustainability Report Conference and stakeholder communication meeting in Shanghai. This is the ninth consecutive year Delta has published a sustainability report, systematically showcasing its environmental, social and corporate governance practices and results.
In response to the dual-carbon strategy, the report begins with the responsibility focus of “Creating a net-zero Future based on dual-carbon” and describes Delta’s carbon reduction goals and progress. Delta has set a long-term strategy and goal to achieve Net Zero emissions at its global sites by 2050, committing to reduce Category 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 90% by 2030 compared to 2021, having already achieved an annual target of 13.5% reduction last year. The report has been rated above five stars by the “China Corporate Social Responsibility Report Rating Expert Committee” for seven consecutive years and the highest rating of “Five Stars” for three consecutive years, fully affirming Delta’s excellent performance in ESG management and information disclosure and other fields. The “Responsibility Sharing China Trip” research group from the government, universities, student associations, ESG experts and business representatives were invited to witness the release of the report, and to gain an in-depth understanding of Delta’s sustainable development results through field visits, case sharing and exchanges.

Zhong Hongwu, professor of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Secretary-General of the China Social Responsibility 100 Forum, made a professional evaluation of the report. The report focuses on the key issues such as sustainable operation, supply chain management, innovation and research and development, green and low-carbon, staff development and social welfare, and has achieved five stars in the seven evaluation dimensions of process, substantive, integrity, balance, comparability, readability and innovation, which is a model of corporate social responsibility report.
Ms. Fu Caifeng, head of sustainable development of Shanghai Foreign Investment Association, affirmed Delta’s sustainable development concept and achievements at the press conference.
Associate Professor Wang Hong from the School of Economics of Shanghai University attended the conference and looked forward to further industry-university exchanges with Delta to promote excellent ESG practices.
Wu Meihui, Chairman of Delta China Sustainable Development Committee, said that Delta implements sustainable development with its core capabilities and practical actions in power electronics, not only insists on investing in innovative research and development, improving the efficiency of resource use, but also spare no effort to cultivate talents, taking into account environmental, social and economic development. In 2022, Delta’s revenue in mainland China reached 51.4 billion yuan, and continued to grow steadily. From 2010 to 2022, Delta’s energy-efficient products and solutions shipped have helped customers worldwide save about 39.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, equivalent to nearly 21.05 million tons of carbon. Delta focuses on employee growth, with an average training time of 24 hours per person and a 91% employee satisfaction rate, and was awarded the HRoot “Excellent Employer in Greater China 2022”. Delta has also long supported public welfare activities in education, technology, environmental protection and rural development, giving back to the community’s care and support.
