The standard body will further mature
There are too many iot standards, too fragmented. Special standards for optical transportation: the United States Department of Transportation has its own standards, and the European Union has the Automotive Communication Alliance, which has developed the European general vehicle communication standards. There are several standardization organizations related to intelligent transportation, smart grid, digital health care, smart home (there are E families in China alone, flash Link).
The Internet of Things is different from the Internet at that time, the Internet technology in the United States has a very mature technology and standards, no longer need the Chinese government to develop, and now the Internet of Things has no mature technology and standards in the world, China needs the government to promote. With the release of the “Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan for the Internet of Things” by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on February 14, we are pleased to see the introduction of many standards related to the Internet of Things:
On May 24, 2012, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved five communications industry standards, which will be implemented from June 1, 2012. This release standard includes YD/T 2398-2012 “M2M service general Technical requirements” and YD/T 2399-2012 “M2M Application Communication Protocol Technical Requirements” two iot standards.
On December 14, 2012, the People’s Bank of China officially released a series of technical standards for China’s financial mobile payment, covering 35 standards in 5 categories of application basis, security guarantee, equipment, payment application, and general networking, and clarified systematic technical requirements from aspects of product form, business model, general networking, and security guarantee. Covering the basic elements, security requirements and implementation plans of all aspects of China’s financial mobile payment, it has established a technical system architecture with the goal of “universal networking, security and trust”.
The reporter learned from the relevant agencies that in 2013, from the national to local China will also release the Internet of Things industry standards, when the standards will be more detailed and more specific. The establishment of iot standard system is a process of gradual development and maturity. The concept of the Internet of Things covers many technologies, many industries, many fields, which requires us to establish a complete and healthy ecosystem, I believe that with the strong promotion of the country and the gradual maturity of the market, China’s Internet of Things system will be completely established.
