The world’s largest CIP will add high-quality domestic graphite supply to the growing solar, electronics and metallurgical markets
Vasteras, Sweden, September 27, 2023 – Quintus Technologies’ Super-large Cold isostatic press (CIP) will help Henan Linchuang Special Materials Co., Ltd. in China to provide high-quality domestic isostatic pressed graphite.
With an eye to ensuring a market leader in product quality and production efficiency, Lynx will install Quintus’s QIC 2.4 x 4.5-2000 cold isostatic press to maximize production and output. The press itself could set a new standard for the industry, with a container size of 2400 mm in diameter x 4500 mm in height (7.87 inches x 14.7 inches), the largest known in the world, and a new energy management system that saves more than 30 percent of energy compared to conventional compressor solutions.
“Lynx is committed to building itself into a top domestic producer of specialty carbon materials,” said Zhao Zhongxin, vice president of the company, adding that Quintus press is part of its key equipment.
Zhao continued, “In order to ensure the stability and consistency of product quality to the international level, we have adopted excellent advanced technologies that have been proven in domestic and foreign production. Our key equipment is mainly imported, and the production process has reached a high degree of automation, stability and environmental protection.”
Quintus cold isostatic presses offer the safest, most durable and reliable pressure control system ever designed in-house. Subsystem components are optimized for maximum throughput, and pressurization and depressurization can be precisely controlled for consistent results. The CIP will feature a new, first-of-its-kind feature: a redesigned pressure vessel that fully floats during pressurization, extending the life of the rail system and ensuring maintenance-free operation for a long period of time.

Zhao said, “Quintus is a pioneer in wire winding technology, and Quintus equipment enjoys a high reputation in the global industry. We are confident that it will well meet our requirements for high-end isostatic pressed graphite production.”
Lynx has also chosen to participate in a long-term Quintus® care program, a rigorous protocol designed to ensure flawless press operation and equipment maintenance. The program provides application support, high availability of spare and wearing parts, and guaranteed and prioritized technical support. It also includes press annual inspections, training and recertification of Lead production staff to maintain and improve their skills.
Jan Soderstrom, CEO of Quintus Technologies, commented: “Quintus is a young company with a great future.” Its founders see an opportunity in the shortage of high-end specialty graphite materials in the country, and they are shrewdly investing in world-class quality equipment to take a leading position in the field. We are excited to be a part of their plans,”
