On September 19, 2023, the 23rd China International Industry Expo opened in Shanghai. In the “Building a good ecology and sharing development opportunities” series of policy release links, officially announced the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology guidance to establish the Industrial network Bus (AUTBUS) expert committee in the field of intelligent manufacturing. Xin Guobin, member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the release ceremony with relevant leaders such as Wang Hong, deputy director of the First Department of Equipment and Ouyang Jinsong, director of the Comprehensive Technical and Economic Research Institute of Machinery Industry Instrumentation.

On the basis of the successful release of the first batch of AUTBUS series international standards for all-IP chemical industry network bus developed by Chinese organizations, the Industrial network Bus (AUTBUS) Expert Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) is established, aiming at bringing together the expert resources of hundreds of universities, research institutes and key enterprises, relying on China’s intelligent manufacturing standardization technology organization. Provide intellectual support for the innovation and development of industrial networks and the popularization of applications, and provide more “Chinese wisdom” and “Chinese solutions” for the internationalization of intelligent manufacturing standards.

AUTBUS series standards are based on the relevant special projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, organized by the National Industrial Process Measurement Control and Automation Standard Committee (SAC/TC124), based on the long-term technical research and industrial practice of Beijing Dongtu Technology Co., Ltd. in the field of industrial communication. In December 2022, the national standard “AUTBUS System Architecture and Communication Specification Based on time-Sensitive Technology for Broadband Industrial Bus” was officially released. In May 2023, the AUTBUS series of international standards was officially released by IEC/TC65 (Technical Committee for Industrial Measurement, Control and Automation), including five industrial communication technology standards, that is, IEC

61158-3-28:2023 (Data Link Layer services), IEC 61158-4-28:2023 (Data Link layer protocol), IEC 61158-5-28:2023 (Application layer protocol), IEC 61158-6-28:2023 (Application layer protocol) 61784-1-22:23 (Industrial network regulations).

AUTBUS International standard is the world’s first two-wire wideband bus international standard based on time-sensitive network technology (TSN) and IPv6 technology, and also the only IEC international standard in the field of industrial control network in China since 2008. China’s independent intellectual property related technologies and chips based on AUTBUS international standards have been successfully developed, and can be widely used in intelligent manufacturing related fields such as robots, automobiles, ships, and aviation. The successful release of AUTBUS international standard indicates that the development level and application results of China’s industrial communication technology represented by AUTBUS have been internationally recognized, which is of great significance to enhance the international influence of technical standards in the field of intelligent manufacturing in China, and provides key technical support for the in-depth promotion of intelligent manufacturing in our country.
