The 2023 Siemens Xcelerator Open came to a successful conclusion in Shenzhen today, with a total of 12 teams standing out. The 12 winning teams will also join the Siemens Open Ecosystem to create future-oriented digital and low-carbon solutions to create more value for industry customers.
“In times of change and uncertainty, no single business or organization can achieve transformation alone. We hope to use the Siemens Xcelerator Open to gather innovation resources, tap innovation potential, and empower and achieve a new generation of digital and low-carbon transformation service providers.” Dr. Xiao Song, Executive Vice President of Siemens Worldwide and Chairman, President and CEO of Siemens China, said, “Looking forward to the future, we look forward to leveraging the network effect of the platform, breaking down industry barriers, and joining hands with more ecological partners to inject unlimited momentum into the digital transformation and sustainable development of the industry.”
The Siemens Xcelerator Open is hosted by Siemens, guided by the Industrial Committee of the International Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance, and strongly supported by the Shenzhen Municipal government. The competition was officially launched in June this year, attracting nearly 900 teams to participate. Through the evaluation of the competition judges, the final 12 teams submitted proposals that stood out in terms of innovation and technology leadership, program maturity, practical benefits and commercial value, and were complementary to Siemens technology. These solutions involve factory construction, process design, product research and development, equipment and supply chain management, business model innovation, energy and carbon management and other dimensions, covering intelligent manufacturing, smart agriculture, smart energy and other fields.
Siemens Xcelerator was officially launched in China in November 2022, not only providing Siemens global digital solutions, but also launching more than 10 locally developed innovative solutions, with ecological partners covering sales and service, joint solutions, platform certified merchants and knowledge eco-partners. In June 2023, Siemens Digital Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. was established to accelerate the construction of digital platform around Siemens Xcelerator and deepen industrial innovation collaboration.
