Capture key components
Promote the “ecological” robot industry chain
In recent years, China’s robot industry has achieved vigorous development. Statistics show that in 2022, the operating income of China’s robot industry will exceed 170 billion yuan, and the output of industrial, service and special robots will grow rapidly. In the same year, China’s industrial robot installed capacity accounted for more than 50% of the global proportion, ranking the world’s largest market.
Including key components such as controller, servo motor and reducer, was once a major constraint on the development of domestic robots. In the past, the three core components were mostly produced by European and Japanese companies. At the site of this Expo, many domestic supply chain enterprises have “exposed” the latest achievements, and the “ecology” of the robot industry has become increasingly perfect.
For example, on the joint booth of Midea and Kuka at this year’s Expo, a high-precision harmonic reducer product was displayed. Chen Shixing, the relevant person in charge of the United States, introduced that from 2019, the United States began to work on the research and development of harmonic reducer, and finally achieved mass production in 2022. This reducer is aimed at aerospace, semiconductor production and other areas with high product accuracy requirements.
Silan Technology company from Shanghai Zhangjiang Science City exhibited several Lidar models at the expo. Chen Dexi, a staff member of Silan Technology, said: “Sensors such as Lidar are key components of intelligent manufacturing, and we hope that through our efforts, domestic robots can ‘see’ more accurately and ‘walk’ more smoothly.”
“It is foreseeable that the future development of the robot industry will be deeply integrated, the industrial chain will continue to improve, and the pace of intelligent manufacturing will be further promoted.” Said Huang Huijie, president of the Shanghai Robot Industry Technology Research Institute.
