Free safe distance calculator
In response to the pain points of customer raster applications, Peel Magneto has introduced a browser-based raster Safety distance calculator to calculate the safe distance between a light curtain and a hazardous area.
What’s more, the tool is completely free. Currently only the online version is supported, and the offline version is expected to be released by the end of this year.
If there is no safe distance calculator, when calculating the safe distance, the user needs to first learn the standard content, and then complete the calculation manually, and with the safe distance calculator, everything becomes very simple, not only can you accurately calculate the minimum safe distance value, but also can get the suitable grating model recommendation, kill two birds with one stone.
The operation of the tool is also very simple, with only 5 steps to complete:
1. Whether to use the raster as the start function.
2. Understand the overall downtime of the equipment and the planned grating resolution
3. Fill in the actual equipment condition and the planned grating height
4. According to the actual situation, determine whether it is possible for the cross-domain grating to touch the danger source
5. Select the performance level required for risk assessment
In 5 steps, users will know a security grating product suitable for field applications. Take the example in the video, the safety rating PLe (Cat4), the protection height of 900mm, the resolution of 30mm hand protection grating, the final safety distance calculator recommended grating model is PSEN opII4H-s-30-090.
Safety distance is the key to the safe operation of equipment, is an important indicator to protect personnel, I hope that this calculation tool launched by Pierre magnetic can help users to quickly complete product selection under the premise of meeting the safety requirements, and provide more convenience for safe production!
