Nidec Precision Inspection Technology Co., LTD. (formerly NIDEC Rito) has started to market the “TDAS-1202P” single-axis test bench for the performance evaluation of electric vehicle drive motors, and the “TDAS-2032P” two-axis test bench for the performance evaluation of electric vehicle drive motor system “E-Axle”, which integrates motors, gears and inverters.

Development background and characteristics
In recent years, with the development of global vehicle electrification, the demand for electric vehicle drive motor performance evaluation test bench and E-Axle performance evaluation test bench has increased rapidly. The “TDAS series” of NIDCO Precision Inspection Technologies is used in the development and testing of the Group’s “E-Axle”, with the aim of optimizing cost, quality and evaluation test accuracy, contributing to the development and expansion of the popularization of “vehicle electrification”.
The “TDAS-1202P” is a 20,000-rpm /700Nm electric motor performance evaluation test bench that can be used for motor performance testing, efficiency/power consumption testing, high and low temperature environmental testing and compliance testing (including ISO compliance), as well as high speed classes worldwide in the same price range of test benches.
“TDAS-2032P” is the 3,300rpm/3,300Nm E-Axle performance evaluation testbed, which supports the same tests as “TDAS-1202P”.
TDAS series features
It can measure current, voltage, speed, torque, temperature, vibration with high precision and high frequency, and process and analyze data by displaying efficiency graphs.
Features such as automatic and semi-automatic execution of test sequences and driving patterns help reduce the number of people in the test environment.
Both the inverter and the battery simulator have a regenerative function to reduce power consumption within the motor bench as needed.
By using thermostatic tanks or low/high temperature cooling units, tests can be carried out to control the temperature of the sample cooling oil, coolant, etc.
The panel approach with positioning structure allows for flexible testing of various samples and easier replacement operation (TDAS-1202P only).
In addition, considering the future demand growth, we can use these products to create inverter benches for pure electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles, etc., and we are ready to support solutions for low-cost test benches.
In the future, we will use a number of test benches in our factory to meet customer test evaluation requirements, and with the support of NEDO(New Energy Industry Technology Development Agency), we are also developing 30,000rpm high speed motor benches and transmission test benches.
In the future, the Group will continue to independently develop various related products and provide innovative solutions that contribute to reducing the burden on the earth’s environment by reducing power consumption through the energy-saving of motors.
