The development of China’s industrial software industry is relatively backward
Although after more than 30 years of development, China’s industrial software products have been relatively complete, covering automotive, construction machinery, aerospace, high-tech electronics, home appliances, national defense, petrochemical, food and beverage, biomedical and other industries, with a certain industry solution research and development capabilities and service support capabilities, but compared with foreign industrial software powers, There is still a big gap in the development of industrial software in China.
At present, foreign software giants occupy more than 80% of the domestic industrial software market from design, manufacturing to service, and control the core technology of industrial software such as simulation design, analysis tools, enterprise management and advanced control. There are more than 150 types of industrial software commonly used in various fields in the international mainstream, covering research and development design, production control, testing and verification, and almost all are provided by foreign enterprises, and the software is closed, not open source, not open.
Our government has deeply recognized the importance of industrial software to the manufacturing industry, in terms of policy, support is also increasing, creating a good external environment for the domestic industrial software market. On February 1, 2021, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued the “Notice on the Guidance for the application of the first 18 key projects of the” 14th Five-Year National Key Research and Development Plan 2021 “, and industrial software was selected as the key projects of the national key research and development Plan for the first time. On April 14, the “14th Five-Year Plan” intelligent Manufacturing Development Plan (draft for comment) issued by the Ministry of Industry and relevant departments clearly proposed that by 2025, the domestic market satisfaction rate of intelligent manufacturing equipment and industrial software technology level exceeded 70% and 50% respectively. On July 3, six departments, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology, jointly issued the Guiding Opinions on Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of high-quality Manufacturing Enterprises, proposing to promote the development of industrial digitalization, vigorously promote the promotion and application of autonomous controllable industrial software, and improve the level of enterprise software.
On May 21, 2021, 11 enterprises in Guangzhou region, in response to the call of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, established China’s first industrial software alliance, the main purpose is to break the monopoly of overseas enterprises in China’s industrial software field. It is reported that these 11 companies are the top enterprises in the industry, and they began to research and develop domestic EDA and CAD software. At present, less than 10% of the chip design process can be completed by EDA in China.
