Timken Corporation, a global leader in engineered bearings and industrial drive products, has acquired Rosa Sistemi S.p.A., a European company specializing in the design and manufacture of roller guides, linear bearings, custom linear modules and modular integration systems, commercial ball guides and precision ball screws. Serves customers in a variety of end markets including automation and machine tools.
Rosa Sistemi’s line of roller guides and custom modules complement our Rollon, Nadella and Intelligent Machine Solutions (iMS) line motion products. This acquisition provides us with attractive synergistic operational and geographic expansion opportunities, allowing us to further expand and grow our business with a global presence.
In 2018, Timken successfully entered the field of linear motion products through the acquisition of Rollon. Rollon is an industry leader in linear guides, telescopic guides, linear modules and modular integrated systems for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications. To further enhance and strengthen its position in the promising field of linear motion products, Timken acquired iMS in 2021 and added Nadella’s complementary product portfolio earlier this year.
Rosa Sistemi’s 2023 revenue is expected to reach approximately $15 million. The company has about 65 employees and its headquarters, research and development center and high-precision manufacturing facility are located in Milan, Italy.
Timken is financing the deal with cash.
