Development trend of MES under digital transformation
I talked about the convergence of digital transformation, Lean and MES. Next, let’s talk about what kind of MES is needed under digital transformation. Through my observation, under the background of digital transformation, the development trend of MES is mainly reflected in four aspects:
The first is the expansion of the business scope, bringing MES greater breadth of integration and collaboration. For example, horizontally, from a single production line, workshop to multi-workshop, multi-factory collaborative management and control development, from within the enterprise to multi-enterprise system integration and collaborative development. Vertically speaking, the original operation of MES relies on people to support it, but with the development of digital technology, it has changed to the integration of automation and intelligent equipment.
Second, from the expansion of the depth of the business, bringing the depth of the integration of the MES process business, MES very emphasis on management business, but with the in-depth operation of MES, management must be considered on the basis of the combination of the process, not just MES in the statistical discovery of problems, but should be found in the process of manufacturing execution after the problem, real-time solution. This requires process decision of process link and process chain.
The third business synergy deepens, bringing MES lean and fine control and decision-making. The fourth dynamic nature of business management determines that MES must develop in the direction of flexible and extensible architecture. The digital business management and control system should adapt to the development and changes of enterprises, and the service architecture and middle-platform operation proposed now are summarized as model-driven, which is the focus.
03New features of MES under the background of digital transformation
