The combination of digital intelligence technology and process technology leads the sustainable development of process industry
Honeywell is a pioneer in industrial automation, but it is also a leading process technology provider in the oil and gas industry, and its UOP process is the cornerstone of most refiners worldwide. Zhao Jiang said that Honeywell’s digital intelligence vision is to closely combine century-old process technology with mature digital intelligence technology, provide innovative ideas for the sustainable development of the process industry, and help create a new digital ecology in China.
“In the context of dual carbon, sustainable development gives each enterprise a higher development goal, in such an era, how to achieve low-carbon development, to achieve net zero emissions, this is not only the social responsibility that enterprises need to bear, but also the premise of future survival and development of enterprises.” Zhao Jiang said that over the past two to three decades, Honeywell has been committed to the deep integration of intelligent technology and production processes, including processes, equipment, people in the connected factory to provide the process industry with solutions to solve customers’ real problems. With the UOP process, Honeywell can help achieve card edge control, help customers ensure that aromatics, hydrogenation, propane dehydrogenation, phenol acetone and other devices greatly optimize efficiency, and strengthen the intrinsic safety, which is one of Honeywell’s exclusive advantages, and in the field of digital intelligence, Honeywell has a mature digital solution, Help factories achieve the lowest cost under the premise of ensuring safety, maximize output and optimize quality in the production process, make production more flexible and agile, and finally realize data interconnection, proactive maintenance and intelligent operation.
Zhao Jiang also specifically mentioned that in helping Shenghong Sierbang Petrochemical propane dehydrogenation production and operation intelligent upgrade project, Honeywell provided a complete set of smart factory solutions to help Sierbang stabilize the factory in the plant performance, production cost, carbon emissions and other key indicators of the industry leading position. The propane dehydrogenation unit of Sierbon has become the first production unit in China that combines process technology and intelligent technology application to achieve comprehensive intelligent production and digital operation.
At the Technology Innovation conference, Honeywell also revealed that in the future, it will also launch a DIGITAL PRIME ecosystem, which is a cloud-based meta-universe ecosystem, whether it is the upgrade of old projects or the implementation of new projects, can provide SaaS services, DCS can be mapped to the cloud, and is maintained by Honeywell’s software tools and experts. The project design, project implementation, project operation, and after-sales service that were originally completed independently offline will be concentrated on the PRIME ecosystem platform.
Finally, Zhao Jiang also said that for a long time, Honeywell has been practicing the strategy of “East serves East”, and has continued to increase its investment in China in digital intelligent products and solutions, including the gradual expansion of local research and development and engineering teams in many cities such as Tianjin, Shanghai and Chongqing.
“Our goal is to collaborate with local companies to innovate, understand what the pain points are, and then explore how Honeywell’s technology can better solve those pain points. In addition, we are committed to driving local manufacturing, R&D, testing and production are done locally, so that we can better provide tailored services to customers.” Zhao Jiang said.
At present, a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation are accelerating, and new technologies are changing or replacing traditional automation technologies. This is for automation manufacturers, in ushering in new opportunities for development, but also facing more challenges. We see that Honeywell is laying out a big game of “digital intelligence”, constantly integrating new technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, virtualization, and meta-universe into traditional automation technologies, constantly upgrading and innovating products, and continuing to lead the evolution of process industrial automation. It is believed that with the blessing of these advancing digital intelligent technologies and century-old UOP process technology, Honeywell will inject new impetus into China’s manufacturing toward “China’s smart manufacturing” and help process industry enterprises achieve high-quality and sustainable development.
