Enhuali completed the expansion plan of advanced blending production lines at its Jiangyin and Changzhou plants.
The Jiangyin and Changzhou plants produce high performance engineering materials such as PA46, PA4T, PA410, PA66, PA6, PBT and TPC for automotive, electrical and electronics markets.
The excellent performance of the two plants in terms of sustainability is highly aligned with Enroni’s commitment to driving the transition to a low-carbon, circular economy.
October 12, 2023, Enronli today announced that the expansion plans of its Jiangyin and Changzhou production sites have been completed, with one new advanced blending production line each. Both plants produce sustainable, high-performance materials for the automotive, electrical and electronics markets.
The investment underscores the company’s long-term commitment to the growing Chinese market, particularly in the field of new energy vehicles. In recent years, China has been committed to innovation and technological progress, and has become a major contributor to global cutting-edge innovation. This is especially true of China’s far leading electric vehicle industry, which already accounts for 35 per cent of domestic car sales and will continue to grow. Rising living standards and a growing focus on environmental goals, especially with battery electric vehicles as the core, are driving the demand for high-performance and specialty engineered materials in the Chinese market.
The excellent sustainability performance of the Jiangyin and Changzhou plants aligns well with Enronly’s commitment to promote a sustainable, circular economy and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the value chain. To reduce the environmental impact of the materials produced at both plants, the company used efficient blending technology and installed production equipment with lower energy consumption. In addition, the new blending line at the Jiangyin plant will be powered by 100 percent renewable energy, partly sourced from outside sources and partly from solar energy produced directly on site.
Materials produced at the newly expanded facility include high-performance specialty materials, Examples include Akulon® PA6/PA66, Arnite® PET/PBT, Arnitel® TPC, Durethan® PA6/PA66, EcoPaXX® PA410, ForTii® PA4T/PPA, Pocan® PBT, and Stanyl® PA46.
Mr. Zhang Zhenyu, President of Asia Pacific, said: “Enronpower is committed to supporting customers across a wide range of industries in China, including the important electronics and electric vehicle industries. This investment is a key step in expanding our capacity in China’s innovation market. China’s rising living standards and increasing focus on environmental policies are driving demand for sustainable, high-performance materials, and now is the right time to strengthen our presence in this critical region.”
Caroline Mitterlehner, Executive Vice President, Specialty Materials, said: “We are pleased that the capacity expansion has now been completed and will help us meet the growing demand for high-performance specialty materials from our customers in China, driving sustainable growth for them and for Enronly across all industries. We look forward to seizing new opportunities and strengthening our existing partnerships.”
Christophe Cazabeau, Executive Vice President, Performance Materials, commented: “China is the largest automotive market in the world and demand in this market continues to grow, so it stands to reason that our next step isto expand our production capacity in the region. With our high-performance sustainable materials solutions and industry expertise, Enronil is now better positioned to co-innovate with our customers and meet their changing application needs.”
