Nova Carter AMR, an autonomous robot platform jointly developed by Nine Robot and Nvidia, has been officially launched on Nine Robot’s website and Nvidia’s website, respectively. Nova Carter AMR is a highly customizable and flexible autonomous driving development platform designed to provide a fast and reliable development environment for autonomous driving developers. The platform is powered by NVIDIA AGX Orin, which enables ROS 2 accelerated computing with full 360° perception from cameras and liDAR. At the same time, it also uses high-performance computing modules and a variety of sensors, has powerful autonomous driving development software and tools, and a high degree of safety and reliability design, which can provide strong support for the development and realization of autonomous driving technology.
In Nvidia real-world use cases, the Nova Carter AMR can collect data for mapping test areas, such as warehouses or factories. The processed data is then deployed in Carter to enable fully autonomous operation for specific use cases.
The Nova Carter AMR software system from chip to algorithm to sensor comes from Nvidia, and the robot chassis that provides it with mobility comes from Nine Robot’s flagship product RMP Lite 220, and Nine robot is responsible for the hardware and software integration of the vehicle. The RMP Lite 220 is part of Nine Robotics’ family of robotic mobility platforms that provide a common and integrated robotic chassis solution for enterprises and third-party developers. The chassis can be redeveloped or customized. At present, No. 9 robot has self-developed RMP products including Lite 220, Pro 401, Plus 401, Smart 260 and other forms, which can meet the needs of autonomous mobile robot chassis in different scenarios such as indoor and outdoor distribution, warehousing logistics AGV, inspection, cleaning and so on.
At present, the product has been officially launched on No. 9 Robot (overseas) and Nvidia’s official website, for industry developers and customers in related industries to customize procurement.
