In the morning of October 25, 2023, Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and the China Institute of Standardization Cooperation Memorandum signing ceremony and cooperation exchange meeting was held in the China Institute of Standardization. Dr. Zhu Xiaoxun, Executive Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., LTD., President of Siemens China Research Institute, and Luo Fangping, President of China Standardization Institute, signed the memorandum of cooperation on behalf of the two sides.
Siemens (China) has rich experience in standardization work, and the two sides have a good foundation for cooperation and broad space for cooperation. According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on the direction of digital transformation and sustainable development, and carry out close exchanges and cooperation in green and low-carbon development, integration and application of digital technologies, personnel knowledge and capacity improvement, standardization policy research, and standardization education and training.
At the subsequent cooperation and exchange meeting, experts from both sides shared the cutting-edge trends and recent work progress of standardization research in key areas such as energy conservation and carbon reduction, resources and environment, standardization strategy and policy research, standard digitization, and food factory digitization, and formulated work plans that can be implemented.
Review history
As early as 1996, Siemens AG presented a full set of current enterprise standards to the then State Bureau of Technical Supervision, opening exchanges and dialogue between the two sides. In 1997, the two sides signed the first memorandum of cooperation and formally established the cooperative relationship. The mou has been renewed five times in more than 20 years, and practical cooperation has been carried out in several key areas, such as energy conservation, emission reduction and resource utilization, standardized education services and strategic research, smart cities and information technology, and sustainable community development.
