In terms of industrial site network, ZTE has created an exclusive 5G industrial control network for different branches of WISCO, providing an integrated solution integrating “end”, “edge”, “cloud”, “network” and “industry” with 5G industrial control computing power base in the typical production links of the steel industry such as material selection, iron making, steel making, continuous casting, and steel rolling, and fully promoting the “less humanized, unmanned, and centralized control” of the steel site. On the one hand, 5G industrial private network helps maximize the value of 5G in 3D job scenes, achieve efficient collaboration between processes, and finally completely eliminate anomalies through on-site unmanned; On the other hand, to achieve the scale of the value scenario, through the improvement of safety, reliability and economy, the value scenario can be widely deployed in the factory.
In the iron and steel industry hot metal transportation scenario, the locomotive and tank car for the transportation of hot metal need to be transported from the iron plant and the steel plant, the transportation distance is more than a few kilometers, at the same time, the traditional operation needs to have locomotive drivers and schedulers working on the site, the working environment is poor, and the safety risk is high. There are a large number of shop-level scenes such as crane control in raw materials, transit, finished product warehouses, etc. In recent years, the transformation process of WISCO Limited unmanned intelligent reservoir area has accelerated to release 3D post on-site workers and improve logistics coordination efficiency. Zte adopts 5G dual-band dual-link + dual-send and receive technology, and innovatively creates a computing power base station based on shop-level distribution, which realizes the safe and stable operation of unmanned control of the crane with a minimalist networking and lightweight method, thereby reducing job safety risks and accelerating the turnover efficiency of raw materials and finished products. In the hot rolling, cold rolling and silicon steel workshops of WISCO, the unmanned business scale of more than 40 vehicles has been realized.
In terms of digital production, WisCO has built a steel digital platform based on ZTE Digital Nebula on the base of the cloud network, taking production lines, workshops and factories as units, and closely combining actual production needs to form an overall plan for factory construction or transformation.

In the workshop, ZTE Innovation integrates 5G positioning technology with traditional satellite, Bluetooth /UWB and other positioning technologies, carries out a variety of 5G positioning technology verification outside the plant, in the plant, underground oil depot and other scenarios, forms a multi-scene integration of positioning capabilities, provides end-to-end solutions for location services, and enables the digital transformation of the steel industry.
