A few days ago, the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced the first batch of carbon peak carbon neutral pilot list in Guangdong Province, and 48 carbon peak carbon neutral pilots were selected after expert review. GMCC Meizhi (Guangdong Meizhi Precision Manufacturing Co., LTD.), a system level solution supplier of core components for consumer electrical appliances, was awarded the “Carbon Peak Carbon neutral Pilot Construction Implementation Plan” as a typical case of “Carbon Peak Carbon neutral” in Guangdong Province. As one of the 17 selected enterprises (projects) pilots, after passing the national green factory certification, Meizhi once again won recognition in the field of dual carbon.

In the context of the global carbon peak carbon neutral strategy, Meizhi continues to implement and implement the goals and tasks of the “14th Five-Year Plan” Industrial Green Development Plan, actively practice the “double carbon” strategy of the country and Midea Group, and gradually form a green manufacturing system with green and low-carbon development as the goal. Set an example for the industry in terms of green management capabilities, green product design, green supply chain and green production capabilities:
• Green management ability. Meizi has established the Meizi Precision management system, including the internal QES management system and the full life cycle green design and manufacturing management system, and has established a green design and manufacturing management system that runs through multiple links of product design, supply chain procurement, product manufacturing and customer service life cycle;
• Green product design, Meizi continues to invest a lot of scientific research resources, with the product life cycle green design as the main line, in the product design process not only attaches importance to the application of green environmental protection technology (including new materials, new processes), but also introduces product carbon footprint, product life cycle assessment (LCA) assessment, to investigate the environmental impact of the whole product process;
• Green supply chain. By conducting qualification review, access supervision and implementation progress management of various suppliers, Meizhi has improved the management level of the company’s suppliers. For example, more than 85% of suppliers have obtained ISO14000 environmental system certification, and some suppliers have been included in the list of green manufacturing system integration, green factory and green design products of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology;
• Green production capacity. Meizhi attaches great importance to the green transformation of the production process. With the goal of manufacturing green products in green factories, Meizhi has formulated an environmental policy of energy saving, pollution reduction, efficiency improvement, safety compliance, and low-carbon environmental protection. Through continuous improvement, it has established mature green production technology, equipment and management system, and achieved the production beat from 13S to 6S, the single-line daily production capacity increased from 6,000 to 10,000, and the overall daily production capacity increased by 40,000 units.
In addition, in terms of creating green products, Meizi introduces the concept of ecological design, focusing on the characteristics of high product energy efficiency, good environmental protection and safety, high resource utilization rate, lightweight and miniaturization of products, easy disassembly and recycling of products, and reusable, etc. The research results include rotary variable frequency variable volume air injection enthalpy all-round coupling compressor technology. Used in household air conditioning, commercial air conditioning, heat pump hot water and other fields, to achieve high APF energy efficiency, high heating capacity, fast cooling and heating, ultra-low temperature silent effect; R290 rotary compressor, independently developed by Meizhi with core independent intellectual property rights, uses R290 environmental refrigerant to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote the sustainable development of HVAC refrigeration industry.
Climate warming is a common problem facing the world today, and it has become a global consensus to reduce carbon emissions and gradually achieve the goal of zero carbon.
