In the “14th Five-Year Plan” robot industry development Plan, it is proposed that by 2025, the average annual growth rate of the robot industry’s operating income will exceed 20%, forming a group of internationally competitive leading enterprises and a large number of specialized new “small giant” enterprises with strong innovation ability and good growth, and building 3 to 5 industrial clusters with international influence. The density of manufacturing robots has doubled; By 2035, the comprehensive strength of China’s robot industry will reach the international leading level.
At present, more than half of the time, how is the development of the industry? Did the program achieve its intended goals? Recently, the robot work Department of the China Machinery Industry Federation led the evaluation of the mid-term implementation of the “14th Five-Year Plan” robot industry Development Plan, and formed an evaluation report based on the opinions of all aspects.
The level of technology is steadily advancing
The evaluation report shows that the research work on key robot technologies is progressing in an orderly manner.
Overcome core technologies:
A number of important common technologies such as visual positioning, information perception and navigation.
Robot system development technology, robot operating system technology, robot modularization and reconstruction technology, etc.
Original achievements have been made in cutting-edge technologies such as bionic perception and cognition and electronic skin.
Overall, domestic robots are accelerating toward high-end and intelligent industrial robots. The reliability, consistency and accuracy of domestic industrial robots have been significantly improved in the application iteration process, and some products have the ability to participate in international competition. For example, Efte, Jieka, Luoshi robot products successfully passed 80,000 hours of mean time to failure (MTBF) test, and obtained reliability certification report.
All kinds of special robots continue to emerge to help mankind conquer the “sea of stars”. For example, the research and development team of Zhejiang University and Zhijiang Laboratory developed a self-powered soft robot that successfully challenged the Mariana Trench, realized 10,000 meters of submarine diving and driving, and realized deep-sea navigation more than 3,000 meters below the sea level in the South China Sea.
In addition, the application depth and breadth are accelerating, the landing scene is becoming increasingly rich, and multiple measures are taken to expand the application depth and breadth. In January 2023, 17 departments including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Finance jointly issued the “Robot +” application Action Implementation Plan, proposing to deepen the application of “robot +” in key areas, in accordance with the needs of economic development and the improvement of social livelihood. Focusing on key areas such as manufacturing, agriculture, construction, energy, business logistics, medical health, elderly care services, education, business community services, safety emergency and extreme environment applications, we will carry out systematic promotion work from robot product development, technological innovation, scenario application to model promotion.
The application scenarios of robots are increasingly rich. According to the statistics of the China Robot Industry Alliance, in 2021, the consumption of industrial robots in the Chinese market reached 271,000 units, accounting for more than 50% of the total global sales, and China has become the world’s largest industrial robot consumer for nine consecutive years. The application range of industrial robots covers 60 industry categories and 168 industry categories in the national economy, and the density of manufacturing robots has reached 322 units / 10,000 people, ranking fifth in the world. At the same time, service robots and special robots have achieved large-scale applications in epidemic prevention and control, warehousing and logistics, education and entertainment, cleaning services, security inspection, medical rehabilitation and other fields, and innovative applications in many major national projects such as space exploration, Marine resource exploration and exploitation, and polar research.
